STANDARD TERMS & CONDITIONS

 

Goods will be invoiced at a price as stated on the website on the point of sale on the date of despatch. All prices are expressed in £ sterling.

VALUE ADDED TAX

All Finfort products are subject to VAT which will be charged at the current rate and shown on all invoices.

PAYMENT

Payment is required prior to dispatch of goods.

CARRIAGE

Orders to the net value of £150.00 and above will be delivered carriage paid with the following exceptions: Scottish Islands, Isle of Wight, Isle of Man, Channel Isles, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland where the net value of a carriage paid order will be £500.00

For orders less than £15 ex vat, an excess of £5 will be charged.

POSTAGE

Delivery costs will be stated on the website at the point of sale.

MINIMUM ORDER VALUE

There is a minimum order value of £15.00. This applies to the cost of the product and does not include carriage charges.

CANCELLATION

Orders may be cancelled on the date of purchase if the order has not already been dispatched. Otherwise dispatched orders must be returned within 28 days of sale. Delivery charges are non-refundable on items that have already been dispatched.

RETURN OF GOODS

Please note you are only eligible for a refund if all of the conditions below are met:

(i). It has been within 28 days since you received your goods.

(ii). Your goods have not been damaged in any way and the original packaging is intact.

We will, of course, refund or replace any defective goods where we are found to be responsible, due to faulty materials or workmanship.

The customer is responsible for paying the shipping cost for returning an item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. The customer is also liable to a 3% order processing cost. With refunds, the cost of shipping plus an order processing cost may be deducted from your refund.

 

 

 

CLAIMS

Claims for non-delivery and/or shortages will not be considered unless the seller is notified in writing or by email within 7 working days of the date of sale.

SAMPLES

Samples for approval will be invoiced at the normal list price and credited in full upon return less delivery charges.

SITE INSPECTION

The seller reserves the right to invoice the buyer for any expenses incurred as the result of a visit to site for the purpose of carrying out repair work, and it is found that no fault lies in the manufacturing of the seller’s product. A prepaid deposit of £250 is required prior to a site visit.

INDEMNITY

The customer will indemnify the Seller against all actions, costs, and damages to which the customer may become liable as a result of work done in accordance with the buyer's instructions which involve the infringements of any patent, registered design or trademark. The seller reserves the right to alter or amend any items in their manufacture without prior notification.

DEFECTIVE GOODS

Damage to escutcheons must be recorded immediately upon the opening of the packaging and a clear photo of the damaged goods sent by email with the opened packing box clearly included in the image.

Goods represented by the buyer to be defective shall not form the subject of any claim for any work done by the buyer, or for any such loss, damage or expense whatsoever arising, directly or indirectly from such defects, such goods if returned to the seller and accepted by him as defective will be replaced.

PRODUCT APPLICATION

The products illustrated on the website are designed for use on doors and similar fittings in normal building construction. Where a buyer wishes to use the products for an application outside the criteria mentioned reference should be made to the seller to enable the seller to make recommendations which the buyer must follow. Specifications of products on the website are correct at the time of going to press but the right is reserved to make alterations to specifications without notice.

LEGAL CONSTRUCTION

Contract to be solely governed by English Law. Failure by the seller at any time to enforce any of the above conditions shall not be construed as a waiver by the seller of such conditions or in any way affect the validity of these conditions.
